Khaberni - The fervent English fan Andy Miln revealed that he will sell his house to finance his trip to the 2026 World Cup.
The former teacher, 62 years old, has become one of the most famous supporters of the "Three Lions" after gaining widespread fame at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Miln has already booked his trips to attend this year's World Cup, and will attend all of England's matches.
However, his plan to stay at the tournament for 7 weeks will cost him dearly after the revelation of the extremely high prices for the World Cup.
This year's World Cup tournament is considered the most expensive in history after fans complained about the high prices of flights, tickets, and hotels.
England fans will have to pay more than 5,000 pounds sterling to watch every match if the team reaches the final.
According to the British newspaper "The Sun", England fans must pay at least 526 pounds sterling just to watch all their three group stage matches against Croatia, Ghana, and Panama.
Miln is taking drastic measures to ensure his ability to follow the England team throughout the tournament, as he has decided to list his second home in Northwich, Cheshire, for sale for 350,000 pounds sterling to help pay for his trip.
He usually rents out the property, but he said he "felt the time had come to sell it" after owning it for 27 years.
Miln told the British newspaper "The Mirror", "The property will be put on the market because I am selling it so I can go to the World Cup."
He added, "The last tournament in Qatar was a treat for myself, I had been saving money for years, we have had a second home for 27 years, so I felt the time had come to take advantage of it."
He explained, "I definitely want to watch the whole tournament, I will travel to the United States on June 3 and stay there for seven weeks, so the trip will cost me a significant amount of money."
He continued, "I always try to do things at the lowest cost possible, I will stay with friends whenever possible, I am fortunate because I have friends in Mexico, Dallas, and Vancouver."
He concluded, "Travel costs are expensive, I bought the international flight tickets early because you can change them even if the departure times shift by just ten minutes."
A widely circulated photo of Miln carrying a replica of the World Cup trophy during his travels emerged after it was shared widely.
