Will the US launch a ground operation against Iran

Khaberni - The Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, ruled out Washington's intention to carry out a ground military operation in Iran, confirming the absence of US ground forces on Iranian territory.

In recorded statements published by "Newsweek" magazine, Johnson said, "We do not have ground forces there, and I do not think there is any tendency of that kind," noting that increasing military presence fundamentally differs from launching a ground operation.

Johnson also urged Iran to monitor the US military reinforcements in the region and take them into consideration.

Washington is considering a ground operation option to take control of the island (Kharg), as reported by "CNN" that about a thousand US soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division are preparing to deploy in the Middle East in the coming days, despite the optimistic atmosphere expressed by US President Donald Trump regarding talks with Iran.

The "Tasnim" agency quoted an Iranian military source confirming that any attack on the Kharg Island would pave the way for Iran to "create a state of insecurity in the Red Sea and the Bab el Mandeb Strait."

This comes at a time when the American-Israeli war on Iran continues for the twenty-seventh consecutive day, and the crisis in the Middle East escalates.
