Khaberni - The Jordanian Association of Car Agents and Distributors issued a statement today to clarify the facts related to the local car market, amidst the circulating rumors and inaccurate information regarding an intention to raise car prices in the kingdom.
Stability of Stock and Prices
The association assures all citizens and stakeholders that the inventory of new cars is currently available in sufficient quantities to cover all categories and models. Based on current stock studies, the available quantities meet the local demand for a sufficient period extending until the end of the second quarter of this year.
The association also clearly indicates that there has been no change in the prices of cars currently offered by the agents, and they remain stable at their previous levels without any increase.
Clarification Regarding Shipping and Insurance Costs
Regarding global changes in shipping or insurance costs, the association would like to clarify the following:
* Any increases that may occur in supply costs will not be reflected on the cars currently available in warehouses and showrooms.
* These increases will only be calculated on new imports that have not yet reached the Jordanian market.
