Khaberni - The Egyptian security forces delivered a heavy strike to a highly dangerous criminal hotspot in Monufia Governorate during a raid on a den of outlaws, resulting in the death of a number of criminals.

Four highly dangerous criminal elements were killed during an exchange of gunfire with the police forces in Qalyubia, while a fifth element was arrested.

The security raid followed a report received by the Quesna police station in Monufia Governorate about a young man being killed by a gunshot during a fight between a group of lawbreakers and a clothing store owner, where the victim happened to be in the vicinity of the fight. It was found that the accused had dangerous records including drug trafficking, arms dealing, kidnapping, and murder, and some of them had been sentenced to death and life imprisonment.

Sensing the presence of the forces, they opened fire towards them, resulting in the death of some of them.

The security forces arrested one of the elements and seized 5 firearms and a quantity of ammunition of various calibers, while efforts are ongoing to pursue another fleeing suspect, and the public prosecution took over the investigation of the incident.
