Khaberni - A wedding in Bouhajla, Kairouan turned into a tragedy after a young man in his twenties was killed by being run over following a family dispute, amidst the shock of the attendees and the commencement of the investigation.
The region of Bouhajla in the Kairouan governorate, central Tunisia, witnessed a horrific murder that transformed the joyful atmosphere of a wedding into a bloody tragedy, after a young man fell victim to a family dispute.
The details of the incident trace back to an altercation between the victim, a young man in his twenties, and one of his relatives during the wedding of a cousin, before the dispute suddenly escalated into a serious assault.
According to preliminary data, the perpetrator proceeded to run over the victim several times using a light truck, leading to his death on the spot, amidst shock and astonishment of the attendees.
The suspect fled immediately after committing the crime, but units from the Tunisian Gendarmerie’s Research and Inspection Brigade in Bouhajla managed to track him down and arrest him in record time, while an investigation was launched to uncover the details of the incident and take the necessary legal measures.
