Khaberni - The area of Al-Hisha in the highlands of Al-Shoubak district, west of Ma'an Governorate, is currently witnessing snowfall along with widespread fog, a significant reduction in horizontal visibility, increased wind speed, and extremely cold weather.
The weather specialists at "Arab Weather" expect snowfall this Thursday morning, God willing, and it may temporarily accumulate on the towering peaks of the high southern mountainous elevations (Jebel Ash-Shara), including the peaks of Ras Al-Naqab (the desert road connecting to Aqaba Governorate), Jabal Mubarak and surrounding areas such as Eil, Rajif, and Tayba Al-Janoubiya of Petra district, the towering heights of Al-Shoubak, the heights of Al-Hisha, and the Kings' Highway connecting Al-Shoubak and Wadi Musa, in addition to the towering peaks of Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Rashadiya area.
In the rest of the northern and central regions including the capital Amman, the weather will be cold, and rains will fall intermittently, which may be heavy at times especially in the northern regions accompanied by low clouds touching the ground. The rain will extend to the eastern regions and will be thunderous in those areas, leading to the flowing of streams and valleys there.
