Controversy Stirred by Eid alFitr Sermon in Egypt

Khaberni - A prayer delivered by the preacher during the Eid al-Fitr sermon, which was attended by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on Friday morning, sparked widespread controversy after its words were circulated and linked to both Sunni and Shia denominations, especially amidst regional developments.

During his prayer, the preacher said: "O Allah, by the right of Fatimah, her father, her husband, her sons, and the secret within her.. let Egypt not be in need of any base person among Your creation," a supplication that many linked to historical Shia sources, sparking widespread debate.

The words did not attract immediate attention, but as they were shared on social media platforms, they sparked a wide wave of controversy among bloggers, religious scholars, politicians, and the regional developments currently occurring between Iran, America, Israel, and the attacks on Gulf countries further intensified the debate.
