Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi said that his country is making intensive efforts to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, warning that war is already causing widespread economic damage that may worsen if it continues.
He added that the conflict, regardless of positions towards Iran, is not made by Tehran.
Oman had mediated the nuclear negotiations between the United States and Iran before Washington and Israel launched strikes on Tehran on February 28.
