Exciting New Details This is How Iran Recruited an Israeli Providing Sensitive Information

Khaberni - Israeli reports revealed new details about the involvement of an Israeli soldier serving in the "Iron Dome" system in spying for Iran and providing it with precise information.

The reports stated that the soldier provided his operators in Tehran with highly confidential information about the operational methods and locations of the defense system, air bases, and key figures in the political and military institutions.

The details emerged after an indictment was filed against the soldier Raz Cohen, accusing him of supplying Iran with highly sensitive Israeli security information, while the reports mentioned that the Shin Bet security service conducted extensive investigations during the past period regarding the soldier’s activities and his cooperation with his operators in Tehran.

The newspaper "Maariv" noted that Cohen is 26 years old, a reserve soldier serving in a technical unit responsible for command and control of the "Iron Dome" system.

The indictment pointed out that "Cohen supplied the enemy with information intending to harm state security," in addition to two charges related to "transferring information that could benefit the enemy."

According to "Maariv", Iran's recruitment of Cohen was part of a large-scale operation aimed at recruiting Israelis to carry out intelligence tasks, in exchange for receiving various amounts of money through a digital wallet.

Cohen had an account on "Telegram", then later created another account, while the relationship between him and his Iranian operator began on December 6, 2025.

As part of the relationship, the Iranian agent communicated with Cohen via his account on the "Telegram" app, introduced himself as an Iranian official, and offered the defendant a sum of money in exchange for cooperating with him.

Cohen briefed the Iranian operator about the roles within the "Iron Dome" system and detailed the various tasks of the technicians in the system.

He also explained in detail how to build an "Iron Dome" battery, its components, as well as other associated components and how to deploy them. He provided details about the arming process of the battery.

On December 8, 2025, the defendant received a sum of 130 US dollars from the Iranian operator.

After the Iranian operator requested photos in December 2025, Cohen sent a collection of 27 photos and videos via the "Telegram" app from his phone, saved in a folder titled "Iron Dome."

Most of the photos and video clips were documented by Cohen while he was in the reserves, revolving around launch procedures, their rates, and rocket launcher arming procedures, in addition to explanations for some of the photos and videos upon the operator’s request.

According to the indictment, Cohen, following direct instructions from his operator, transferred information about the coordinates of the air force bases and their counterpart “the Iron Dome” system where he had previously served.

Cohen also supplied the Iranians with names of senior officials, members of the Knesset, senior military officers and pilots, in addition to names of people experiencing financial problems, those involved in drug use, and individuals willing to commit crimes, including murder, in exchange for money.

The Iranian agent promised the defendant 40,000 shekels for each name provided, then later declared that this amount would be paid for recruiting people to work with the enemy.

The defendant provided the Iranian agent with personal data and contact information for several individuals, including a security guard at a high-level government institution, relatives, an officer in the air force, and a person known to have a serious criminal record, as well as information about a friend in financial distress and involved in drug use.

Currently, Cohen is being detained, and the military prosecution has requested from the Attorney General's office in Jerusalem to keep him in prison until the end of the trial, according to the newspaper "Maariv".
