Khaberni - Israeli military aviation continued its air raids on several southern towns in Lebanon, concurrently with intense artillery shelling.
A Lebanese security source informed a correspondent of the Jordanian News Agency "Petra" in Beirut that the military aviation carried out three raids on the coastal Al-Qasimiyah Bridge in the Bourj Rahal area, which caused significant destruction to the bridge, rendering it completely out of service and preventing cars from passing over it.
He added that the Lebanese Army had evacuated its checkpoint adjacent to the bridge prior to the targeting, and spread out in the surrounding area and at a distance further from it. A point belonging to the Korean Battalion under the UNIFIL forces, which is stationed about three hundred meters from the bridge, was also evacuated.
He pointed out that the bombing of Al-Qasimiyah Bridge, which connects the south to Beirut through Saida, leads to the isolation of the south from Beirut and Saida, cutting off the main coastal road and forcing people to take longer and more dangerous secondary routes.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that a person was martyred due to an Israeli raid on the town of Haboush in Nabatieh.
