AlEissawi Inspects Projects from Royal Initiatives in Jerash

Khaberni - Within the framework of continuous field follow-up of the noble Royal Initiatives projects, the head of the Royal Hashemite Court and chairman of the committee monitoring the implementation of His Majesty the King’s initiatives, Yousef Al-Eissawi, on Wednesday conducted a field tour in the governorate of Jerash to inspect the progress of work on a number of noble Royal Initiatives projects.

Al-Eissawi began his tour by inspecting a project to construct 15 homes for underprivileged families in the area of Burma, which is being implemented under royal directives as part of a program including the construction of 1300 housing units in various governorates and rural areas.

Al-Eissawi, in the presence of the Governor of Jerash Dr. Malik Al-Kharaisat and the head of the new Burma municipality committee Abbas Al-Mawanes, reviewed the progress of the project, which is implemented using prefabricated building systems, and listened to a briefing by those in charge of it about the implementation stages and work progress, where the project completion rate has reached about 70%.

In the area of Nahla, the head of the Royal Court inspected the project of constructing Nahla Basic School for Boys, that has been established based on royal directives from His Majesty the King’s meetings with the people of the governorate.

Al-Eissawi toured the school’s facilities in the presence of the Minister of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Azmi Mahafaza, the Governor of Jerash, and the head of the Mu’ath Municipality Committee Mahmoud Khuwaldeh, where the execution works are nearing completion.

The school’s facilities include 12 classrooms, laboratories, administrative offices, teachers' rooms, a basketball court, a childcare center, as well as playgrounds and public facilities.

The residents of Nahla expressed their profound gratitude and appreciation for His Majesty the King's ongoing efforts and Royal Initiatives aimed at improving the living standards of citizens across various regions, affirming that the initiative to establish Nahla Basic School for Boys is an important step in supporting the educational sector in the area and providing a suitable educational environment for their children,

The inspection tour included a visit to Zein Park in the Jerash castle, with the presence of the Governor of Jerash and the head of the Greater Jerash Municipality Committee Mohammad Bani Yasin.

During the tour, Al-Eissawi reviewed the park and the maintenance work carried out, which included the installation of sand and rubber play units through the Royal Initiatives, aiming to provide safe recreational facilities for children.

Through the Royal Initiatives, equipping the park with children’s play units is part of the Safe Parks Initiative, which has so far involved installing more than 250 play units to global standards across various regions of the kingdom.

During the tour, Bani Yasin stressed that the noble Royal Initiatives constitute a fundamental pillar in supporting the comprehensive development journey, as they directly respond to the citizens’ needs and priorities.

Bani Yasin provided a briefing on the performance of the Greater Jerash Municipality, discussing the main projects and plans implemented by the municipality in the fields of infrastructure and public services,

Al-Eissawi concluded his tour by inspecting the project of the Flags and Uniforms Workshop belonging to the Jerash Women's Charity, which has been equipped with the necessary machines and equipment through the Royal Initiatives.

The president of the association, Heba Zureiqat, appreciated the Royal Initiative which enabled the association to achieve its goals, whether in terms of preserving and enhancing local heritage or in economically empowering women, in addition to improving production quality and development to meet the market demands, confirming that this support has marked a qualitative leap in the work of the association and opened new horizons for it.

Zureiqat pointed out that the association's future vision for the next two years includes expanding to export its products outside Jordan and increasing the number of working women to 50, which contributes to providing more job opportunities and achieving sustainability for the production projects implemented by the association.

The project currently provides job opportunities for ten girls from poor families after they were trained to work in the workshop.

At the end of the tour, Al-Eissawi confirmed that the noble Royal Initiatives will continue in the governorate of Jerash and all the governorates and regions of the kingdom, covering all sectors, and addressing the needs and priorities of citizens, and translate the royal directives into tangible reality that impacts the citizen across various regions of the kingdom, being implemented in cooperation and partnership with the government and civil society institutions.
