The second executive program for the mining sector aims to stimulate comprehensive and sustainable economic growth

Khaberni - The second executive program for the mining sector within the economic modernization vision aims to stimulate comprehensive and sustainable economic growth, through increasing the production volume of phosphate, potash, and bromine ores, and increasing the approved mining exploitation licenses.

According to the second executive program for the economic modernization vision (2026- 2029), efforts will be made to increase exports through increasing the concentration of mining exports, and attracting more foreign direct investments by preparing more sites for investment.

The methodology for achieving the strategic objectives of the mining sector involves a number of initiatives and projects that will be implemented during the years 2026 and 2027.

In an initiative to establish a national geological information bank and promote exploration, the interactive map project for mineral resources will be implemented in the year 2026.

As part of the initiative to build human capacities and skills specialized in the mining sector, a Center of Excellence for developing skills and building mining capacities will be established during 2026-2027.

In an initiative to restructure the legislative and regulatory framework of the sector, a revised law for the Natural Resources Law No. (19) of 2018 and the regulations derived from it will be prepared in 2026.
