Khaberni - The Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply announced the start of an intensive and comprehensive monitoring plan across all markets in all provinces to ensure the stability of trade and adherence to systems and laws, coinciding with the increase in consumption that precedes the arrival of the blessed Eid al-Fitr.
The Assistant Secretary-General and media spokesperson for the ministry, Qusai Bani Mustafa, said that the ministry has adopted a monitoring program that extends until the end of the Eid holiday, explaining that the intensification of monitoring at this time comes as a precautionary and necessary measure due to the high demand for goods and services.
Bani Mustafa explained that the plan prioritizes the food sector, restaurants, and bakeries to ensure the availability of bread and the continuous operation of the duty bakeries, in addition to verifying the clear announcement of prices and full compliance with the specified prices. The regulatory tours also cover fuel stations, gas agencies, clothing and furniture shops, gift shops, and confectionery stores, to scrutinize announced prices and the legality of offers, discounts, and clearances, ensuring they comply with official instructions.
Bani Mustafa confirmed that the ministry is working closely with producers, importers, and related entities to ensure the continuity of the flow of goods and the availability of a safe stock that meets the needs of citizens.
Bani Mustafa emphasized that the ministry will not tolerate any violations or attempts to manipulate prices or disrupt market balances, calling on citizens to exercise their monitoring role and collaborate with the ministry in detecting any violations.
The ministry urged citizens to report their complaints through the official channels that operate according to a work plan covering both morning and evening periods, which are:
