Turkish Proposal to Resume Negotiations Between Washington and Tehran

Khaberni - A Turkish diplomatic source told the "Novosti" agency that Ankara, in cooperation with a number of Middle Eastern countries, has proposed the resumption of negotiations between the United States and Iran, but has not yet received any specific responses.
The diplomatic source told the agency, "Turkey initiated the proposal to resume negotiations between the United States and Iran, in cooperation with several regional countries, yet we have not received any specific reactions or clear signals from the concerned parties".
Previously, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran is ready to defend itself for as long as necessary, and that it does not seek either a cease-fire or negotiations.

Minister Araghchi also welcomed any regional initiatives leading to a just end to the war, calling for the formation of a committee with regional countries to investigate the targets that have been attacked.

In an interview with "Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed" newspaper, he added, "We welcome any regional initiative that leads to a just end to the war". He emphasized that ending the war is contingent upon guaranteeing that it will not recur and ensuring compensation is paid.
