Iranian Judiciary Calls for No Leniency Towards Those Accused of Cooperating with Washington and Israel

Khaberni - The head of the Iranian Judiciary, Gholam Ejehi, stated on Monday that there should be no leniency or delays in issuing judgments against those accused of cooperating with Israel and the United States.

The Tasnim news agency reported Ejehi saying, "We must not be indulgent or slow in executing final judgments against those who committed crimes during the war and disturbances, and who were linked to the aggressive enemy."

He added, "It is necessary to expedite the review of cases related to elements accused of threatening public security and make decisions on them."

Local media reported that in recent weeks, authorities have carried out widespread raids across Iran, arresting hundreds of people in the past few days suspected of cooperating with Israel and the United States.

On February 28, Israel and the United States launched airstrikes on Iran, killing the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, and igniting a war that has spread across the Middle East.

In response, Iran launched missiles and drones at multiple targets in the region, including those targeting interests of Israel and the United States.
