A student from AlZaytoonah University of Jordan achieves third place in the 2026 Expatriate Students Recitation Competition

Khaberni - Student Hamza Al-Saeed Awad Mukbil from the Arab Republic of Egypt, studying at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, achieved third place in the Expatriate Students Recitation Competition – the fourth session of 2026 organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, an achievement that reflects the excellence of the university's expatriate students and the level of care it provides for their talents in various scientific, cultural, and religious fields.

The closing ceremony for the competition’s final stage took place on Monday, March 9, 2026, sponsored by the Acting Secretary-General of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Shadi Musa'adah, and attended by the members of the jury and deans of student affairs from the universities to which the participating students belonged.

The results of the competition led to three students winning the top three positions, where Jihad Abdelkarim Abdelqader (of Filipino nationality) from Mutah University secured first place, while in second place was Ahed Abdel-Samad Ismail (of Filipino nationality) from Jerash Private University, and in third place was Hamza Al-Saeed Awad Mukbil from Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan.

According to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the number of expatriate students who participated in the competition this year was 193 students, representing 25 Arab and Islamic countries, and studying in 24 Jordanian higher education institutions, reflecting Jordan's status as a distinguished educational destination for expatriate students and as a nurturing environment for creativity and excellence.

The organization of this competition is part of a series of programs and activities implemented by the ministry to support expatriate students, including the "You are Jordan's Ambassadors" program, as part of the implementation of the national strategy to attract expatriate students for the years (2023–2027), aiming to enhance educational tourism and increase enrollment in Jordanian higher education institutions.
