Amman Arab University Increases Its Capacity to Over 15000 Students in a Major Qualitative Achievement Enhancing Its Leadership

Khaberni - In a new academic accomplishment reflecting the accelerated journey of Amman Arab University toward leadership and excellence, the Higher Education Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, chaired by Professor Dr. Zafar Sarairah, President of the Council, has agreed to increase the university's overall absorptive capacity to (15,137) students, after fully meeting all the requirements and standards of both general and specific accreditation. This achievement crowns the comprehensive strategic institutional efforts led by Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Wadiyan, President of the University, and with guidance and support from the University's Board of Trustees and Directorate, focused on developing the educational environment, enhancing academic infrastructure, renewing facilities and auxiliary services, and adhering to academic accreditation and quality assurance standards, thereby ensuring the elevation of educational quality and outcomes.

On this occasion, Al-Wadiyan emphasized that the increase in the university's general capacity reflects the level of confidence that the Accreditation Authority has in the academic and administrative performance achieved by the university, embodying its strategic vision in enhancing the opportunities for quality higher education and attracting more students to modern academic programs that meet the requirements of the local and regional job markets. He noted that this decision confirms the advanced status of Amman Arab University as a leading educational institution that prioritizes quality and accreditation at the core of its agenda, and contributes effectively to the development of the higher education system in Jordan and the region. He added that this achievement opens broader prospects for introducing new quality specialties and expanding existing programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels, focusing on applied and technical skills aligned with the rapid transformations in the knowledge economy and the modern information revolution, stating that it represents the fruit of collective work and the integration of efforts by a team that is always distinguished at Amman Arab University.

Meanwhile, Professor Dr. Hussam Al-Hamad, Vice-President of the University for Planning and Quality Assurance, pointed out that the university continues to implement its ambitious strategic plan through developing its academic programs and enhancing its partnerships with industrial and technological sectors both locally and internationally,
contributing to the preparation of a workforce qualified for the job market, capable of keeping up with the rapid global developments efficiently and excellently, indicating that this achievement clearly signifies the institutional progress made by the university steadily and with the active contribution of all members of the faculty and administration, extending his thanks to all university units, especially mentioning the efforts of the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center and the Accreditation and Ranking Department for their prominent role in preparing and following up on this achievement.
