Khaberni - Israel executed a precise and sudden attack on the "Pasteur" complex in Tehran, targeting the Iranian security summit and resulted in the killing of 40 high-ranking officials at the beginning of the war against Iran with participation and support from Washington.
The assassination list in the first moments of the Israeli-American war on Iran included the former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei – and the initial operation lasted only 40 seconds.
A report published in the "7 Days" supplement of Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reviewed the intelligence and technical details of the operation, with a focus on the planning of the assassinations and the type of missiles used.
A concise summary of the attack and the assassination planning:
Intelligence planning: The meeting of the Iranian Supreme Defense Council was monitored, and "golden" intelligence information about Khamenei's presence at his home during the meeting was collected.
The timing of the attack was adjusted from Saturday evening to its morning (8:10 AM) after Israel confirmed that the meeting was advanced by 12 hours.
The attack was coordinated with the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) to ensure operational cover and electronic warfare.
The missiles used and their features:
A ballistic missile launched from F-15 fighter jets.
Long-range allows launch outside the range of Iranian air defenses.
High accuracy in hitting fortified targets above and below the ground.
Ability to penetrate shelters and strategic infrastructure.
Ofek Zahav, an advanced system not known to the public, is used to strike high-value targets.
Blue Sparrow, with a range of up to 2000 kilometers, allows hitting deep within Iran without entering the aircraft into the danger zone.
Execution of the operation:
About 30 "Rocks" missiles were launched from safe distances, targeting simultaneously: the meeting hall of the defense council, Khamenei's residence and his military office, and the Ministry of Intelligence building where a concurrent meeting was held.
Israel relied on the element of surprise and Iranian arrogance with the officials remaining above ground instead of fortified shelters.
The attack successfully eliminated 40 officials within 40 seconds, including leaders in the Revolutionary Guard, the Ministry of Defense, and the missile program.
