AlQadi The Social Security Law affects the citizens nerve and deserves a broad national dialogue

Khaberni - Speaker of the House of Representatives Mazen Al-Qadi, during a part of the Committee on Employment, Social Development, and Population Affairs meeting on Sunday, stated that the amended bill for the social security law is considered very important as it touches the core of the Jordanian citizen and affects a wide segment of workers and employers, which requires a profound and responsible national discussion.

Al-Qadi, in the presence of the Vice President of the Jordan Chamber of Industry Mohammad Al-Jeitan and several board members, stated that the council decided, through the Employment Committee, to launch a broad national dialogue on the bill and to be open to all relevant parties, allowing listening to all viewpoints and notes that contribute to enriching the discussion and improving legislative texts.

He mentioned the council's keenness to meet with all related entities, listen to their opinions, and consider their proposals, emphasizing the importance of taking adequate time for dialogues and discussions with the chambers of industry and commerce, professional associations, political parties, and civil society institutions, which enhances a collaborative approach in legislation making.

Al-Qadi praised the role played by the chambers of industry and all participating entities in the dialogue, appreciating the proposals they provide for their importance in developing the bill and improving its clauses, assuring that all opinions and notes are of interest and valued by the council and the Employment Committee.

He emphasized that the council is keen on proceeding in a parallel path that preserves the rights of social security subscribers while enhancing the sustainability of the institution, leading to solutions and common denominators that achieve balance between different parties in the relationship and serve the national interest.
