Israel Agrees to 830 Million for Immediate Security Purchases to Counter Iran

Khaberni - The Israeli government approved last night via a telephone vote an urgent decision for immediate security purchases for the Ministry of Defense worth an additional $830 million to meet the requirements of confrontation with Iran.
Through a telephone vote, the Israeli government voted on a proposal distributed to the ministers to secure military needs in the war against Iran, and the proposal text included an emergency step aimed at ensuring immediate equipment, through a temporary reduction in government ministry budgets.
This step is described by government officials as an interim loan (bridge financing) pending the approval of the budget in the Knesset.

In the message sent by the government secretary to the ministers, it is mentioned that there is an "urgent telephone vote", and the Finance Minister requests that the proposal be submitted for government approval as soon as possible.

The proposal addresses the issue of "prioritizing government spending for the year 2026 to equip the Ministry of Defense as part of Operation Lion’s Roar", and it was justified by the "urgent and immediate" need to meet operational requirements amidst intense fighting.

According to the proposal, 2.6 billion shekels will be allocated to the Ministry of Defense in 2026 for "urgent and necessary security purchases to manage the war".

For financing this step, the following is proposed: a deduction of 1.5 billion shekels from the budget allocated for interest payments and commissions. An additional cut of 1.1 billion shekels from various government ministry budgets is proposed, according to the detail included in the decision.
