Khaberni - An updated memo published on the British government's website on Thursday shows that Britain has taken a precautionary measure by temporarily withdrawing some of its staff from Iraq due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
The memo also states that the British Embassy in Iraq continues to operate as usual.
Since Saturday, February 28, Israel and the United States have been conducting airstrikes on Iran, which resulted in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Since then, Tehran has responded by striking Israel and countries in the region with missiles and drones.
Iran has implemented a naval blockade on the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, targeting oil tankers attempting to pass through it.
