The secret of tranquility and peace on Laylat al-Qadr

Khaberni - Dr. Amr Khaled, the Islamic preacher, urges preparedness and readiness to celebrate Laylat al-Qadr, in which Allah writes rewards surpassing the worship of 83 years.

In the twentieth episode of his Ramadan program "Guide - Journey with the Quran," Khaled described Laylat al-Qadr as the night of the spirit before the body, because what happens to the spirit on this night exceeds the lifetimes of your ancestors, “And they ask you about the spirit; say, 'The spirit is of my Lord's affair...'"

He pointed to the divine grants and gifts on this night, as He grants you in one night what He would not grant in a thousand months, implants piety in your heart that you could not bring forth even if you struggled for a thousand months, instills love in your heart, opens His doors of sustenance for you, comforts your soul, and implants understanding and the feeling of Allah's Beautiful Names.

4 Rewards on Laylat al-Qadr
Khaled noted that the reward of Laylat al-Qadr is encompassed in four rewards:
- "Whoever stands (in prayer) during Laylat al-Qadr with faith and self-evaluation, all his past sins will be forgiven."
- "For Allah, at every breaking of the fast, there is liberation [from Hell], and that is in every night," so what about those whom He liberates on Laylat al-Qadr?
- Answered supplication: angels descend to Earth to affirm your prayers, "The angels and the Spirit descend therein by the permission of their Lord for every matter."
- Better than a thousand months, in this night is a great reward that elevates you to the highest of paradise.

What does Laylat al-Qadr do to you?
Khaled explained the transformative effect that Laylat al-Qadr has on a person's life, entering it burdened with sins, and leaving freed by Allah from Hell, entering it with life halted, and leaving it granted a significant victory, entering as an ordinary person, and exiting working for the eternal Creator for the rest of his life, entering with prayers and exiting with them answered.

He mentioned that on Laylat al-Qadr, a meeting of two realms occurs: the visible and the invisible, clarifying the difference between them; the visible being everything apparent in the heavens and earth (the sky, stars, seas, the celestial dome, and the galaxies), and the invisible being everything deeply hidden and apparent (angels, paradise, the Throne, the Preserved Tablet, destiny).

And he said that excellence (to worship Allah as if you see Him) transfers you from the visible to the invisible, as though you see the invisible, "And thus did We show Abraham the realm of the heavens and the earth that he would be among the certain [in faith]."

He also clarified the relationship between the soul and spirit and the body (matter and spirit), noting that the soul is always in a state of flux, drawn downward to the body and necessities (material things), and drawn upward to the spirit and necessities (spiritual things), and remains in motion, oscillating between two poles: material and spiritual.

He highlighted the value of Laylat al-Qadr, which lies in expanding your vision of the unseen world through the wide gate, “as if you see it,” turning this into a great certainty you live with, as Laylat al-Qadr implants the certainty of the unseen world (the expansive vision: paradise as if you see it – Gabriel as if you see him – your name in emancipation as if you see it).

He said that when the meeting of the two worlds happens on Laylat al-Qadr, peace flows in the soul, instead of tension and pull, therefore Allah says, "Peace it is"; for the tranquility that occurs on this night due to the meeting of the two realms.

He considered that the best and closest preparation for the meeting of the two realms on Laylat al-Qadr is to live throughout the year, or Ramadan, or the last ten nights with the thought of "as though you see Him," making you the most qualified person for Laylat al-Qadr.
