Injury sidelines Real Madrid star for a full year

Khaberni  - Brazilian Rodrigo Goes, player of Real Madrid, underwent a successful surgery this morning on the anterior cruciate ligament and the external meniscus of the right knee, officially starting the countdown for the recovery phase and the return to the playing fields.

Real Madrid said in an official statement that the surgery was supervised by Dr. Luis, a well-known expert in this field, who green-lit the surgical intervention after waiting for the swelling to decrease in the area of injury that the player suffered last week against Getafe, making his return now a matter of time after overcoming this pivotal step.

According to the Spanish newspaper "As", the details of the injury go back 8 days, specifically in the 66th minute of the royal team's match, during a struggle for the ball with Getafe player Adrian Leso, where Rodrigo received the ball on the left wing and as he tried to sprint, his foot stumbled on the ground causing him to immediately feel a sharp pain that made him limp before he fell to the ground.

Despite the severe pain moments on the grass, the player got up and continued playing for more than 30 minutes, raising doubts about whether the ligament had been completely torn at that moment, or if continuing to play caused an aggravation of an injury that was less severe initially.

Rodrigo informed the medical team about his pain immediately upon reaching the locker room, but the situation significantly worsened the following morning, where he underwent extensive medical examinations that confirmed the worst diagnosis of a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament and the meniscus of the right knee.

Following this shocking news, the player sent an emotional message via his official accounts, saying: "Life may have been a little harsh on me recently, and although it is a very difficult moment, I promise you that I will not stop, it's just a matter of time and I will be back soon."

Medical estimates indicate that Rodrigo will need up to a full year to return to 100% readiness, while he may reappear on the training grounds within 10 months, with confirmations from the player's environment on his determination to return strongly and wear the Merengue shirt again.
