Khaberni - Oil prices witnessed sharp and rapid increases immediately after Iran announced the election of Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Supreme Leader of the country, succeeding his father Ali Khamenei who was assassinated at the beginning of the American-Israeli attack on Tehran on February 28.
Oil prices rose at the start of the week, with Brent crude increasing by 16%, reaching a barrel price of $108, as of 1:30 AM Monday Jordan time.
