Khaberni - The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation announced today, Saturday, the implementation of a precautionary reduction in crude oil production and refining operations, following repeated attacks by Iran against Kuwait, including Iranian threats against the safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA), the corporation stated in today’s announcement that the decision is part of its adopted strategy for risk management and ensuring business continuity.
The corporation added that this adjustment is purely precautionary and will be reviewed as the situation evolves, emphasizing its full readiness to restore production levels as soon as circumstances permit, and clarified that all local market needs remain fully secured according to the laid out plans.
