Khaberni - The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, emphasized that Qatar will not hesitate to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, security, and national interests, amid the ongoing unjustified Iranian attacks on Qatar and the region.
This came during a phone call on Saturday evening with U.S. President Donald Trump, discussing the latest developments in the current crisis and the diplomatic efforts being made to contain the tension.
The Emir of Qatar pointed out that the continuation of escalation could have serious consequences on international security and peace, emphasizing the need to intensify diplomatic efforts to stop the escalation and contain the crisis.
He affirmed that the State of Qatar will act in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and the provisions of international law in defending its interests, while the U.S. President stressed the importance of joint efforts to maintain regional and international stability and support political pathways to address tensions.
