Khaberni - A video captured the moment two children were found inside an abandoned well in Taiz Province, southern Yemen, after two days of their disappearance, drawing widespread interest on social media platforms.
The video shows the moment of the children's rescue amidst scenes filled with tension and hope, while followers reacted greatly to the event.
The Taiz police stated in an announcement on their official Facebook page that security forces managed to find the children Ammar Bashir and Imran Bashir, who were reported missing last Wednesday after leaving their home in the Ammar bin Yasir neighborhood in Taiz city.
The Director of Criminal Investigation, Colonel Jameel Al-Salhi, explained that the search teams managed to find the children after executing precise security measures and intensive investigations; they were found inside one of the exposed wells in the neighborhood, alive, and were immediately transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary medical care.
Al-Salhi added that the security forces arrested the owner of the well in preparation for completing legal procedures and referring him to the competent authorities.
The Taiz police emphasized that no verified kidnapping incidents have been recorded in the province since 2015, urging social media users and concerned parties to seek accuracy and obtain information from its official sources.
The video clip has spread widely on social media platforms, amidst calls from activists for quick solutions for the exposed wells to avoid similar incidents.
