Khaberni - A tragic crime shook the foundations of Al Husseiniya Center in Sharqia province, Egypt, where a housewife disposed of her infant daughter, who was barely four months old.
The incident began when the police received a notification about the discovery of a completely charred small girl’s body. Upon arrival and inspection, it was revealed that the body belonged to an infant, found amidst the remnants of a fire that broke out in a pile of garbage and debris in front of a house in the village. A security cordon was immediately imposed, and the body was transferred to the mortuary under the disposition of the Public Prosecution.
The investigation revealed a shocking surprise that the perpetrator of the incident was none other than the mother of the child who had set fire to the pile of garbage next to the house and then mercilessly threw her infant into it.
After the suspect was apprehended, and upon questioning her father about the motives behind the crime, he stated that his daughter was going through difficult health circumstances, noting that she was suffering from an unstable psychological condition and had been treated by a neurologist for some time, suggesting that her health condition might be the reason for this unconscious act that led to the loss of her daughter.
The investigations disclosed that the mother, while being interrogated, said she thought what was in front of her was a "rat," and she saw her infant based on this assumption before throwing her into the fire, which led the investigating authorities to decide to present her to a psychiatrist to determine the soundness of her mental and psychological state.
