Khaberni - The Turkish Ministry of Defense stated on Wednesday that the air defenses of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and missile defense systems in the eastern Mediterranean destroyed a ballistic missile that was launched from Iran headed towards Turkish airspace after crossing over Syria and Iraq.
The ministry added in a statement that the incident did not result in any fatalities or injuries.
It noted that Turkey reserves the right to respond to any hostile acts against it but also calls on the relevant parties to refrain from any steps that might escalate the situation.
