Khaberni - Dr. Darya Rusakova, a nutrition expert, explained that showering, wearing tight belts, or lying down immediately after eating can harm health, and it is best to avoid these habits.
She points out that it is not advisable to lie down for two hours after eating because it can lead to the backflow of stomach acid into the lining of the esophagus, causing heartburn, burping, and a feeling of heaviness, and may eventually lead to inflammation and damage to the lining of the esophagus, increasing the risk of erosions, ulcers, and possibly cancer.

She also explains that avoiding any physical activity for two hours after eating is also necessary, as physical movement decreases blood flow to the stomach and intestinal muscles, negatively affecting the digestion process.

She also warns against showering or entering a sauna immediately after eating, because hot water hinders blood flow to the digestive system, disrupting digestion.

She points out the need to quit smoking during and for two hours after eating, as nicotine causes vasoconstriction and slows down the production of digestive enzymes. Additionally, she warns against wearing tight clothes, as they hinder the natural movement of food through the digestive system.
