Safadi and 19 Foreign Ministers Condemn Iranian Attacks on Jordan and Arab Countries
  • Jordan categorically condemns the Iranian attacks on Jordan and its brotherly Arab nations, and stands in full solidarity with these nations.

Khaberni - Today, Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Expatriates Affairs, affirmed Jordan's categorical condemnation of the Iranian missile attacks on Jordanian territory, rejecting them as a serious unjustified assault on the kingdom’s security, citizen’s safety, and breach of its sovereignty.

Safadi emphasized during phone calls with several of his counterparts that Jordan is taking all necessary measures to protect the safety of its citizens and its sovereignty from these attacks launched by Iran on Jordanian territory without any justification, at a time when Iran is aware of the efforts Jordan has made to resolve the crisis peacefully and prevent the kingdom from using its lands or airspace in any attack against it.

Safadi affirmed Jordan's categorical condemnation of the Iranian attacks on the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, and the State of Kuwait. He emphasized Jordan's absolute solidarity with the brothers in these countries and the kingdom’s support for any steps they take to protect their security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of their citizens.

Safadi confirmed that Jordan continues to coordinate and work with brothers and friends to end regional tensions, reduce escalation, and entrench security and stability in the region. He emphasized the need for restraint and adopting diplomatic solutions and dialogue as ways to overcome crises and respect international law and the sovereignty of states to maintain the security and stability of the region.

The communications that Safadi held included calls with Foreign Ministers of the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Syrian Arab Republic, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Indonesia.

The calls also included communications with Foreign Ministers of Germany, Spain, Britain, Belgium, Sweden, France, Cyprus, Latvia, Luxembourg, Norway, and Austria.

The ministers stressed the solidarity of their countries with Jordan, and their support for all steps and measures Jordan takes to protect the safety of its citizens and its security and sovereignty.
