Minister of Justice Dr. Bassem Al-Talhouni stated that the Cabinet approved in its session held on 14/4/2026 the fee system for notary transactions for the year 2026.
Al-Talhouni explained that the mentioned system stipulates a reduction of fees when resorting to the use of online notary services, in an effort to encourage citizens to use digital services, noting that the same fees apply when personally visiting the notary.
Al-Talhouni noted that the differences between the two types of fees can sometimes reach from 25 to 40%, due to the savings in costs related to standard services such as paper and ink usage, building usage, energy cost savings, and reduction of congestion, not to mention speeding up and facilitating processes for the citizen.
It is noted that the system will be effective after its publication in the Official Gazette.
