Khaberni - The Ministry of Digital Economy said that work is ongoing to establish a government service center in Ajloun.
The ministry added that the services introduced in Jerash reached 39 government services after the official opening of the Jerash Service Center, the most important of which are the certification services of Jordanian academic certificates for the Ministry of Higher Education, the first-time exemption service for those over forty, issuing permits for civil conscripts for mobilization and the army, the payment accreditation service for the Ministry of Labor, the services of the Jordanian Post for the Jordan Postal Company, the electricity subsidy inquiry service for the Energy and Minerals Authority, the e-selling service for the Land and Survey Department, and the traffic violations inquiry service and traffic violations inquiry for foreign vehicles, and the inquiry and payment of housing and roofing tax for the Amman Municipality.
The ministry clarified that the new institutions added to the government service centers are the Ministry of Higher Education, the Land and Survey Department, Amman Municipality, and the Energy Authority.
The ministry pointed out that the number of visitors to the government service center in Jerash is increasing, with a monthly average between 500 to 800 visitors.
The ministry explained that the anticipated services are the technical inspection services for small vehicles, activation of the smart card service, residency and borders services, and the eyesight test service for issuing category three and seven vehicle licenses.
The ministry clarified that the passport renewal and issuance service has been active since the pilot launch of the center, whereas, regarding IDs or the smart card, work is ongoing to activate the service by the end of the third quarter of this year.
