Khaberni - The operations manager at the "Arab Weather" website, Osama Al-Tarifi, said that Thursday will witness scattered rain showers, followed by an extremely cold and "dry" air mass starting from Friday evening.
Al-Tarifi explained that temperatures will drop to zero degrees Celsius at night.
Details of the Expected Weather Condition:
A first-grade depression on Thursday
On Thursday, 26-2-2026, Jordan will be affected by a new weather depression classified as first-grade (the lowest), and the weather will be cold, with renewed chances of rain, God willing, in various regions of the kingdom, especially in the northern areas, according to Arab Weather.
A significant increase in wind speeds is expected, with strong gusts causing dust in desert areas, in addition to chances of rain, especially in the north and central parts of the kingdom.
Thursday/Friday night
During Thursday/Friday night, the weather will be cold, with possible local rain showers in various areas of the kingdom, taking the form of hail showers over some southern mountain peaks at dawn.
Friday: departure of the depression and the approach of an extremely cold air mass
On Friday, the weather depression moves away, but the kingdom remains under the influence of cold and moist air currents, so temperatures will be about 3-5 degrees Celsius colder than average for this time of the year. The weather will be cold and partly cloudy, with a possibility of local rain showers in some areas, especially in the south. The winds will be moderate to brisk north-westerly, increasing the sensation of cold.
Friday/Saturday night
Starting from Friday/Saturday night, the kingdom will be affected by an extremely cold air mass. Nighttime temperatures will drop noticeably compared to previous nights, and the weather will become very cold during late night and dawn in many areas, with minimum temperatures nearing zero degrees Celsius in various desert areas, eastern plains, and mountainous regions.
This coincides with calm wind speeds and a decrease in cloud amounts, making the weather clear and thus favorable conditions, God willing, for frost formation across wide areas of the kingdom, God willing.
Recommendations:
* Be aware of reduced horizontal visibility in desert areas and roads due to strong winds and sandstorms.
* It is advised to wear warm clothing.
* Be aware of frost formation at night and Saturday morning.
