AlKhalaileh Settling the Debts of Over 100 Indebted Women During Ramadan

Khaberni - Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, Mohammad Al-Khalaileh, stated on Tuesday that the ministry has developed a comprehensive plan in preparation for the blessed month of Ramadan, which includes a variety of activities starting with the care of mosques, leading to sermons and guidance lessons.

Al-Khalaileh added, during a meeting with journalists at the Government Communication Forum, that the ministry's plan includes holding the Hashemite scientific councils under the royal patronage every Friday during the month of Ramadan, with the participation of a group of scholars from inside and outside the kingdom.

He noted that the Zakat Fund has prepared a comprehensive plan for charitable activities during the month of Ramadan, which includes launching a campaign to distribute 12,000 coupons, each valued at 30 dinars, totaling 360,000 dinars, to be distributed to poor and needy families.

He continued, the plan includes launching a campaign to distribute 40,000 food parcels through the Zakat committees in Jordan, supported by the Zakat Fund and donations, to reach deserving families in various regions of the kingdom.

He explained that Zakat Al-Fitr will be distributed at the end of the blessed month of Ramadan, in addition to giving cash gifts to poor families and orphan families who receive monthly assistance from the Zakat Fund.

He clarified that during the month of Ramadan, 15 productive rehabilitation projects in various regions of the kingdom will be handed over, valued at 25,000 dinars, in addition to repairing and maintaining 10 homes valued at 45,000 dinars.

Al-Khalaileh mentioned, that an Iftar celebration will be held for about 3,000 orphans, along with their families, in various provinces of the kingdom, in cooperation with Zakat offices and committees, on the occasion of Orphan’s Day in the Islamic world, which coincides with the 15th of Ramadan.

He pointed to the distribution of 12,000 shopping coupons through the Zakat Fund, the distribution of 40,000 food parcels through Zakat committees, cash gifts for poor families and orphans, settling debts for more than 100 indebted women, organizing charitable gatherings and free medical days during the month of Ramadan.
