How was the Mexican drug lord El Mencho killed

Khaberni - "Reuters" reported, citing a military official, that a new task force led by the US Army played an important role and assisted Mexico in the operation that brought down the leader of the Jalisco cartel, "El Mencho".
A US defense official told Reuters that "the new task force led by the US Army specialized in collecting intelligence about drug gangs played a role in the Mexican military raid that occurred on Sunday and resulted in the death of El Mencho".
US officials stated that "the anti-cartel task force, which includes several US government agencies, was officially launched last month with the aim of mapping the networks of cartel members on both sides of the US-Mexican border.

A former US official added that "the United States compiled a detailed target package for El Mencho and provided it to the Mexican government to carry out its operation".

Nemesio Oseguera, known as "El Mencho", was killed in an operation led by the Mexican Army, in what is considered the largest blow to drug cartels in the country for years, amid increasing pressure from the administration of US President Donald Trump to intensify the war on drug smuggling into the United States.

The Mexican Defense Ministry announced the arrest of the leader of the largest cartel, who died from wounds he received while being transferred to Mexico City.

Subsequently, there were incidents of car burnings, roadblock setups, and attacks on security forces in dozens of Mexican cities.

"El Mencho", the leader of the Jalisco cartel, is considered one of the most dangerous internationally wanted individuals, with the United States offering a reward of $15 million for information leading to his arrest.

The cartel he leads is widely regarded as the most powerful organized criminal group in Mexico and the largest drug smuggler to the United States, in addition to controlling extensive networks for fuel smuggling and cross-border criminal activities.
