This came after their victory over Newcastle United with a score of 2-1, bringing them closer to the top of the Premier League, just two points behind the leaders Arsenal.
Right after the match ended, the Manchester City account on the social media site "X" deliberately ridiculed Frank Eliot, the famous Manchester United fan.
The United fan had vowed not to cut his hair until the "Red Devils" won five consecutive games, which has not happened recently.
Frank gained even broader fame after he was about to cut his hair following United’s four consecutive wins, before their streak ended in a draw with West Ham, leading him to spend more than 500 days without cutting his hair.
The Manchester City account wrote: "We achieved five consecutive victories, it's time to cut the hair" with an emoji of scissors, implying that they deserve to have their hair cut while the United fan waits.
Manchester City has achieved a series of five consecutive victories, beating Newcastle 3-1, Liverpool 2-1, Fulham 3-0, Salford 2-0, and then Newcastle again 2-1, following a 2-2 draw with Tottenham.
It is noted that Pep Guardiola's team raised their points to 56 in the Premier League, narrowing the gap with Arsenal, who sit at the top with 58 points.
