Khaberni - The Jordanian National Union Party strongly condemns the statements made by the American ambassador to the occupying state, Mike Huckabee, which included unacceptable oversteps and references that affect the sovereignty of surrounding states, particularly the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and which constitute unacceptable and violating political aggression against the simplest rules of diplomatic norms.
The party reiterates its absolute rejection of any proposal or insinuation related to undermining the sovereignty of Jordan or involving its name in contexts associated with projects or visions concerning control or reshaping the political reality in the region, emphasizing that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is a fully sovereign state, with unyielding national positions that are non-negotiable and non-interpretable.
The party is also puzzled by the issuance of such statements, which contradict what has been stated by President Donald Trump on various occasions regarding the nature of engagement with regional issues, raising questions about the duplicity of political messages and their danger to regional stability.
The Jordanian National Union Party affirms that Jordan, under its Hashemite leadership, its Arab army, its security apparatuses, and its loyal people, will remain impervious to any attempts at political pressure or blackmail, and that its national security and sovereignty are red lines that must not be approached under any circumstances.
The party renews its call for the respect of state sovereignty, adherence to international law, and the cessation of provocative statements that could incite tension and undermine the chances of stability in the region.
