The Jordanian Association for Marathons discusses its future plans during its general assembly meeting in the Greater Amman Muni

Khaberni - The Jordanian Association for Marathons held its general assembly meeting at the headquarters of the Greater Amman Municipality, chaired by His Highness Prince Firas bin Raad, chairman of the board of the association, and in the presence of the general assembly members, including Amman Mayor His Excellency Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh and the city director at the Greater Amman Municipality, Engineer Nabil Al-Jariri, along with His Excellency Engineer Fawzi Masad, Her Excellency Ms. Reem Badran, His Excellency Engineer Jamil Ali Mujahid, His Excellency Mr. Ramzi Al-Muayta, Director General of the Tourism Promotion Authority, and His Excellency Senator Sharhabil Madi, in addition to the general manager and representatives from Ernst & Young.
The meeting was held in the context of reviewing the operation journey of the association during the past period, approving the budget, and discussing the future plans aimed at enhancing the role of running in society and consolidating the status of the association's races on both the local and international levels.
The association affirmed that its strategy for this year will primarily focus on the "Young Runners Program," which was launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, dedicating its efforts to empower children and youth through organized training programs and educational activities aimed at discovering talents and nurturing them at an early age.
The initiative aims to build a sustainable sports base and develop a new generation of runners capable of representing Jordan in international marathons, which contributes to spreading sports culture and establishing a healthy lifestyle for future generations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Highness the Prince and the general assembly members expressed their appreciation for the societal and national role undertaken by the association, emphasizing the importance of concerted efforts to continue supporting its programs and distinctive initiatives in the coming phase.
