Investigation into the Dispensation of Feeds to Individuals Without Livestock Immunization Cards

Khaberni - State Minister for Prime Ministry Affairs, Abdul-Latif Al-Najdawi, stated that the team assigned to review the clarifications documented by the Audit Bureau discussed in its meeting today, Wednesday, the supervisory outputs observed during the past month of January.

Al-Najdawi revealed that the supervisory outputs discussed numbered 19, registered against 11 governmental and public entities, including ministries, government and official departments, universities, municipalities, and companies wholly owned by the government, and all necessary actions have been taken to correct them.

He clarified that the supervisory outputs discussed included the investigation into the dispensation of feeds to individuals not possessing livestock immunization cards, repeated issuance to some farmers from other feed centers during the same month, and clearance of unsuitable agricultural materials; affirming that all necessary legal and administrative procedures required to correct these violations were promptly initiated upon the conclusion of the investigation.

The outputs also included violations such as overlooking the collection of amounts due to the treasury, purchasing medical devices despite the availability of a number of them in warehouses or surpluses in hospitals, and not including most medical equipment tenders in the annual procurement plans, in addition to non-compliance with the protocol for dispensing narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

The supervisory outputs also included, direct purchasing of materials without adhering to the procurement system, non-payment of electricity bills promptly contrary to the issued circulars, appointing unqualified personnel as members of specialized committees, violations in the use of government vehicles, payment of financial amounts to employees during periods they were on sick leave, payments of bonuses and allowances to employees in some municipalities and institutions without justification, promotions contrary to the effective legislations, among other violations.

Al-Najdawi affirmed that the team, following the directive of Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, will intensify its efforts in the upcoming period to ensure the follow-up and correction of the supervisory outputs immediately, curtail violations, and ensure they do not recur in order to preserve public funds and comply with the law.
