American Police Arrest of a young man who ran towards the Congress building carrying a rifle

Khaberni - Michael Sullivan, chief of the US Capitol Police, said that an 18-year-old man ran on Tuesday towards the Congress building, carrying a rifle loaded with bullets before the police arrested him without any incidents.

The motives of the young man, who the police said was wearing a jacket and military gloves, have not yet been clarified. The police also explained that he was carrying a helmet and a gas mask in his car.

Sullivan added that the young man arrived in a white Mercedes in the afternoon and parked it near the Capitol building, before getting out and running towards the building.

Sullivan told reporters that the police ordered him to drop his weapon, and the young man complied with the order.
