Jordan AlBdoor changes the features of the major medical administrations

Khaberni - In a step aimed at injecting new blood and developing the technical and administrative performance in major medical facilities, the Minister of Health, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Bdoor, issued a bold set of administrative decisions including the appointment and termination of a number of top hospital and central administration managers. These formations, which took immediate effect, reflect the ministry's vision in rotating leadership expertise and localizing technical specialties in their appropriate locations to serve patients and visitors.

The decisions are topped by ending the assignment of Dr. Walid Hamza Al-Halabi from his administrative tasks at Al-Bashir Hospitals, and transferring him to Irbid Governorate to assume the role of director of Princess Basma Teaching Hospital for one year. This appointment is a strategic step given Al-Halabi's medical and administrative experience, as he will lead one of the most important teaching hospitals in the north, concurrently with returning to his specialization as a nephrology specialist to enhance the technical alongside the administrative side.

The "exchange of positions" included ending the assignment of Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shahabat from managing Princess Basma Hospital and promoting him to lead the Technical Affairs Management of Hospitals at the ministry center. In a related context, the minister appointed Dr. Emad Abu Yaqeen to act as the director of the Jordanian Digital Health Center, while retaining him as head of the Emergency and Ambulance specialty, clearly indicating the enhancement of digital transformation in centralized medical and emergency services.

Regarding the management of Al-Bashir Hospitals, Dr. Omar Mansour Abu Sharia (Head of the Pediatrics Department) was assigned to act as the director of the Women's and Children's Hospital in addition to his current role. This decision followed the termination of assignment of the previous director upon his request, returning him to work in his specialization as a pediatric disease specialist, reflecting the ministry's approach to respecting the wishes of medical talents in returning to the clinical and technical fields.

These decisions confirm that the Ministry of Health is moving towards institutionalizing leadership work, as the appointments included specific time durations "until a permanent appointment," opening the door for periodic performance evaluation. Observers emphasized that these changes in the "joints" of medical administrations aim to improve health service quality and reduce bureaucracy in major hospitals, which continue to experience sustained pressure.
