Khaberni - Capital Bank announced the renewal of its main sponsorship for the "Seven Mountains" initiative for the second consecutive year, in a step that reflects its firm commitment to supporting humanitarian and community initiatives that have a tangible impact on individuals' lives.
The concept of the initiative, launched by Luai Shoumali in 2017, aims to raise funds and mobilize support for treating children on the waiting lists at the King Hussein Cancer Center, through organizing mountain climbing trips conducted by students and volunteers – including students from the Shoueifat School – in a symbolic experience that embodies the challenges and hardships faced by cancer patients during their treatment journey.
The head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Capital Bank, Tulin Berto, expressed the bank's pride in continuing its support for the "Seven Mountains" initiative for the second consecutive year, stemming from its belief in its role in empowering the community and supporting initiatives with a humanitarian impact, affirming that this partnership reflects Capital Bank's commitment to supporting the health sector and contributing to highlighting the spirit of challenge and determination among Jordanian youth, alongside supporting the King Hussein Cancer Center in continuing its noble humanitarian mission.
For his part, the founder of the initiative, Luai Shoumali, valued the partnership with Capital Bank, affirming that the bank's continued support for the initiative constitutes a fundamental pillar in expanding its impact and enhancing its ability to reach a broader segment of society, noting that this collaboration exemplifies an effective model of the private sector's role in supporting youth initiatives and transforming them into impactful platforms for supporting patients and fostering a culture of community solidarity.
It is worth mentioning that the "Seven Mountains" initiative has succeeded, to date, in raising more than $814,000 for the benefit of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, directly contributing to supporting the treatment of less fortunate patients, enhancing community awareness of the challenges faced by cancer patients, and the role of youth in creating a real and sustainable humanitarian impact.
