Tourism warns against dealing with unlicensed offices and hints at legal actions

Khaberni - The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities warned citizens against dealing with any offices or entities that engage in tourism activities without prior official approval from the ministry on practicing the profession.
It emphasized that engaging in any tourism activity or promoting it via social media or digital platforms without the ministry's approval could subject the owner to legal action.
The ministry urged service recipients to ensure that the offices have obtained the ministry's approval before dealing with them and to ensure that contracts are properly executed.
It stressed the importance of dealing with classified entities to ensure rights are protected and to maintain the quality of the provided tourism services.
The ministry affirmed its continued implementation of monitoring and awareness procedures in cooperation with the Jordan Tourism and Travel Agencies Association and relevant official entities to monitor any illegal practices and take necessary legal actions against them to protect both citizens and tourists alike to enhance trust in the tourism sector.
