Khaberni - Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani expressed on Monday his country's readiness to assist in training police forces in the Gaza Strip and other areas of the Palestinian territories as part of Rome's efforts to contribute to stability in the Middle East.
Tajani said at a press conference in Rome, "We are ready to train a new police force in Gaza, and we are also ready to train a Palestinian police force."
He confirmed Rome's readiness to participate as an observer in the Peace Council initiative launched by US President Donald Trump and that Italy had received an invitation to attend a council meeting this week in Washington.
