Khaberni - A leadership delegation from Hamas concluded an official visit to Malaysia, which saw a series of meetings including one with Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, and several other government officials.
The meetings discussed recent developments in Palestine, especially regarding ongoing negotiations to enforce a ceasefire agreement, in addition to the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza. The delegation also reviewed the assaults targeting the Palestinian presence in the West Bank in its various components, as well as severe violations against prisoners. In this context, ways to enhance political and humanitarian support for the Palestinian people in various places of residence were discussed, through specific initiatives and projects.
The Hamas delegation included Bassem Naim, a member of the Political Bureau and head of the Office for Arab and Islamic Relations, and Fawzi Barhoum, a leader in the movement, alongside the movement's representative in Malaysia.
The delegation expressed its appreciation for Malaysia's ongoing efforts in advocating for the rights of the Palestinian people in various international forums.
The movement also emphasized the importance of continuing communication and coordination with various parties to enhance political and diplomatic support, which contributes to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people and achieving their national aspirations.
