CBS Trump informed Netanyahu he would support Israeli strikes on Irans missile program

Khaberni - CBS News reported on Sunday, citing two informed sources, that U.S. President Donald Trump informed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a meeting in Florida in December that he would support Israeli strikes on Iran’s ballistic missile program if Washington and Tehran fail to reach an agreement.

The Swiss authorities announced that a new round of negotiations between the United States and Iran will be held in Geneva on Tuesday, hosted by Oman, which had previously hosted the first round in Muscat this month.

Tehran and Washington resumed their negotiations in Muscat on February 6, after months of collapsed previous talks following an Israeli war on Iran last June, which lasted 12 days.

The recent talks were held amidst Washington's threats of military action against Tehran, following its deployment of an aircraft carrier and its military group in the region after a bloody crackdown on protests against the Iranian authorities last month.

Araghchi led the Iranian negotiating delegation in Muscat where they conducted indirect talks with the American delegation led by the Middle East envoy Steve Whitcov and Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's son-in-law.
