Return of Syrias Absent Stars to Ramadan Season 2026

Khaberni - The Ramadan season of 2026 will witness a notable return of several Syrian stars who had been away from the screen for extended periods, and who are now utilizing their artistic credentials and their standing with the audience to make a strong comeback to the drama race.

Actor Fares Al-Halw (1960) is among the most prominent returnees after a 14-year absence, most of it spent outside Syria, where he participates in the series "Moulana" alongside Taim Hassan, Nour Ali, Nancy Khoury, and others.

Al-Halw portrays Colonel Kifah, a pivotal military character intertwined with most of the drama’s plots, forming a major factor in the escalation of events.

"Moulana" belongs to the category of contemporary social drama, with a story by Lubna Haddad, written by Kifah Zaini, Basel Alfaoor, and Youssef M. Sharkawi, directed by Samer Al-Barkawi, and produced by Sabbah Brothers company. Al-Halw’s artistic background is significant, having presented over 60 works including drama, theater, and cinema, some of his prominent works are "The End of a Brave Man," "Five Star Family," and "Dreams of Abu Al-Hana."

Actress Yara Sabri also makes a strong return this season through three prominent works: "The Syrian Enemies," "Lobby of Love," and "The Last Seat."

In the series "The Syrian Enemies," based on a novel by Fawaz Haddad, Sabri plays the role of Umm Sulaiman alongside Bassam Kousa, Saloum Haddad, Fadi Sbei’, Hima Ismail, and Andre Skaff, directed by Laith Hajjo.

While in the series "The Last Seat," Sabri portrays Hana, a school principal facing daily social and educational challenges, alongside Jihad Abdo, Rana Jamoul, Massa Al Jamal, Asema Youssef, and Sonata Skaff, under the supervision of Hossam Salamah.

In the series "Lobby of Love," Sabri enters the world of romantic comedy-drama, alongside Moatasem Al Nahar, Pamela El Kik, Jessie Abdo, Safaa Sultan, Faiz Qazq, and Jirjes Jabboura, directed by Joe Bou Eid.

The season will also see the return of a group of Syrian stars, including Mohammad Osso in "Bent Al Naaman," Abdel Hakeem Qatifan in "Al Milleeyya," "No Place No Time" and "The Exit to the Well," Jihad Abdo in "The Last Seat," Taj Haider in "Me, She, and His Lens," Jamal Sulaiman, Mazen Al Natoor, and Oasis Al Rahib in "The Exit to the Well," and Nawar Bulbul in "No Time No Place" and "City Kitchen."
