Khaberni - Preliminary data issued by the Central Bank indicates an increase in tourism income during January 2026 by 4.1% to reach $708.5 million, in comparison with an increase of 22.8% to reach $680.5 million during the same month of the previous year.
This increase is due to a rise in the number of tourists by 3.2%.
The data shows a rise in tourism income during January 2026 from European nationalities (56.9%), Asian nationalities (11.6%), American nationalities (16.0%), and Arab nationalities (3.0%), while the data shows a decrease in tourism income from other nationalities (2.0%) and expatriate Jordanians (3.0%).
Moreover, the data indicates an increase in spending on tourism abroad during January 2026 by 6.2%, reaching $196.3 million.
