Israeli Estimates Fear of a Devastating Iranian Missile Attack

Khaberni - Israeli security assessments have revealed intense preparations for a scenario of a broad and devastating Iranian missile attack that might target Israel, should negotiations between Washington and Tehran fail and the confrontation escalates to military action.
According to the Hebrew site "Walla," the Israeli security establishment is considering the possibility that the collapse of the diplomatic path could lead to a preemptive American strike against Iran, which might be met with a harsh and devastating Iranian response, including the launch of heavy ballistic missiles towards the Israeli home front.

In this context, the United States has bolstered its military deployment in the region by deploying batteries of the advanced THAAD defense system, along with early detection and warning systems, in preparation for any potential escalation. The Israeli Air Force is also working on enhancing the readiness of military bases and sensitive technological facilities, in anticipation of them being targeted in the event of a full-scale confrontation.

According to the scenario being discussed within the security agencies, the potential Iranian response will not be limited to Iranian territories but may also include the launching of missiles by Iran's allies in Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen, which means the possibility of opening simultaneous fronts and overwhelming Israeli defense systems with a barrage of heavy missiles.

The Israeli Home Front Command, led by Major General Shai Klapper, is preparing to deal with a scenario of intensive ballistic bombardment that could affect civilian centers and strategic infrastructure, with a focus on ensuring the continuity of operation of vital facilities even under widespread strikes.

These preparations, according to the assessments, reflect real concerns within Israel of being subjected to a devastating attack in the event the American–Iranian confrontation turns into open warfare, especially in light of talks about long-range missiles and large explosive warheads that could directly target the Israeli interior.
